My husband and I just found out that were pregnant (unexpected) and we really can’t afford very expensive baby furniture right now. I would love to be able to afford one of those $1000 bedroom sets at Babies-R-Us but the truth is with me being a full time college student and my husband not making much right now, we really can’t spend that much.

Is it ok to buy used baby furniture? I feel like a bad parent for bringing my baby home to a used bedroom set. Also, would it be safe to have something thats been used?

We plan on buying brand new bedding, accessories, etc, it’s just the furniture that costs so much.

I have a carseat, swing and stroller we want to get rid of and instead of throwing them away we want to donate them we just dont know where to take them. They are almost brand new.

Everyone keeps telling em to buy my furniture second hadn and borrow as much stuff as possible. I’m fine accepting my sisters diaper genie that was ahrdly used (her daughter died at 20 days), but I don’t like the thought of buying a used crib and whateevr else I’m “supposed” to get second hand. I know not to spend alot of money on clothes and toys but I want nice brand new fresh from teh factory strollers and furniture. Am I the only one who feels that way?

I live in Thailand and the most common spray paint is “Win” brand made by TOA Paint. The can has no statements about it being non-toxic, but that type of information isn’t normally included on things in Thailand like they are in The States.
